Safety Rope Switches
In industrial applications where the use of safety gates and emergency stop buttons is not possible, emergency stop pull-wire switches offer an effective solution. These emergency stop ropes in conjunction with pull-wire switches enable large-area safeguarding of hazardous areas. Typical applications include extensive production islands or conveyor belts.
The emergency stop rope is attached to the emergency stop rope pull switch. In the event of danger, the system can be immediately secured and switched off by pulling at any point on the tensioned rope. In addition, pull rope switches ensure that the machine stops immediately if the rope breaks. The safety state remains locked until the reset button is activated after the rope has been tensioned again. We offer different variants for different rope lengths. An additional emergency stop button can be mounted on both sides of the emergency stop rope pull switch and is included in the scope of delivery for selected models.
With our ZANDER installation/rope tensioning system ZTK, the pre-tension of the rope can be set so that the correct rope tension is confirmed by green arrows in the display window of the emergency stop pull switch. This makes installation, troubleshooting and maintenance considerably easier. The ZANDER rope pull switches are characterized by their integrated diagnostic options. A viewing window shows the correct rope tension, which can be adjusted quickly and easily using our tensioning system if necessary. A large LED on the switches clearly indicates the operating status: green indicates normal operational readiness, while a red flashing light indicates a machine stop.
The emergency stop pull-wire switch of the ZLM / ZLS series has the following features
- Switches in the event of a break or slack rope
- Latching in switch-off position, manual reset
- 3 safety NC contacts / 1 NO contact
- Up to 100 m rope length
- Display for switching status (pulled, slack, correct pre-tension)
- Robust metal housing, protection class IP67 (ZLM / ZLS) Stainless steel housing, protection class IP69K (ZLMS / ZLSE)
