The controllers of the ZX09 series are also ideal as high-speed cam controllers. Absolute or incremental encoders can be used.
Absolute single- or multi-turn encoders are connected via an SSI interface (up to 20Mhz!); incremental encoders via TTL (up to 1MHz) or via standard 24V inputs of the ZX09 controller.
The implementation of the cam controller function in our programming tool EX_PRESS is very easy, by using a function block (SSI) or by direct logical queries in the program. Sample programs are available. And even complex sequences are processed in real time without cycle time.
